It’s the new year, so obviously it’s time for the resolutions. I’ve never really made many in the past, and I’m not one to do the gym thing in January (I’ve never actually stepped foot in a gym before) but there are definitely things I want to do in 2014. So here are my non-typical resolutions:
1. Take my camera out with me as much as possible.
Even on walks with Willow. I really enjoy taking photographs and learning new techniques but I hardly ever take it with me!
2. Read more.
Once I start reading I can’t put books down, but for some reason this is only ever on holiday. It’s a lot more relaxing than Facebook and the Daily Mail.
3. To become Mary Poppins’ apprentice.
My Mam is super talented when it comes to sewing, knitting and cooking (and pretty much everything, which is why I call her Mary Poppins). These are both things I’ve wanted to try myself so hopefully this year I can rope her into teaching me. Scarf anyone?
4. Blog more.
This is one of the best things I’ve done, and has become a hobby I really love. But every now and again I stop posting. There’s no real reason other than general life – lack of motivation after work. Yet when I do sit down and blog I love it and it helps me relax!
5. Get out on our bikes.
I suppose this is a sort of ‘get fit’ resolution but my hubby’s looking at getting a mountain bike soon so I’m looking forward to heading out through the woods on our bikes. And who knows, maybe even a little trip away sometime where we can go out on our bikes.
I’d love to know what everyone else is planning for 2014!
