Last weekend we packed up our camping gear (well, our friend Ronnie did, we just brought a quilt and pillows!) and headed up to Corbridge in Northumberland for the Corbridge Festival where Toploader were headlining. We were pretty lucky with the weather, there were a few rain showers but the rest of the day ended up really sunny and warm so out came the chairs and vodka and we sat in the sun watching all the bands on the main stage!
Toploader headlined on the evening but there were also some really great artists playing such as Extra Curricular and Jeramiah Ferrari who were both my favourites of the day. Jeramaiah Ferrari were a totally new sound to me – if you could take the lead singer of The Kooks and mix his voice with a little bit of Reggae then you’d get Jeramiah!
If you live in the North East or visiting next year then definitely check out the Corbridge Festival, the atmosphere was brilliant all day even through the rain showers and it was great for families too with loads of things for kids to do. We’ll definitely be going back again next year!
