Holiday hairstyle

I thought I’d share one of my favourite hairstyles for on holiday. It’s probably the easiest style to do but it can completely change a plain outfit.

The fishtail braid (or plait) just uses two sections of hair instead of three, and you can also backcomb your hair slightly to give it more volume. I also tend to mess the plait up once it’s in place, and then tie a ribbon around the end instead of a plain bobble which I got from a local haberdashery – ribbons aren’t just for 5 year olds! It only takes a few minutes to do and it means you don’t have to straighten your hair either, perfect when it’s hot!

  • So pretty! Are they fairly easy to master?

they’re really easy once you get the hang of them, I tie my hair in a low ponytail with a bobble first then plait it, tie the bottom with a bobble then take the first bobble out – it makes it easier to keep in place when your plaiting it! x
