Holiday Reading: Marian Keyes

On April 8, 2013 by Lau

I love nothing more than reading on holiday and Marian Keyes has to be one of my favourite authors. I’ve read so many of her books and each one has been a “can’t put it down” type of read and she has a knack of making you feel like you even know the characters – put it this way when you dream about characters from a book you know its a good one!

In Thailand I read ‘The Brightest Star In The Sky’ and absolutely loved it. Even surrounded by gorgeous beaches and palm trees, I still couldn’t put it down! I don’t want to give much away but it’s a book that will play on every emotion going! If you like a little bit of ‘chick lit’ without it being at all cheesy for want of a better word and a story that lets you escape, makes you laugh, and even makes you sympathise with fictional characters, then Marian Keyes is the one. I can’t wait to get The Mystery of Mercy Close next.

  • I love Marian Keyes. I find her books laugh out loud funny but very serious at the same time. Haven’t read one in ages. My mum bought me Sushi for Beginners in a charity shop so that’s what I am taking on holiday next. xx
