Back in October we booked a holiday to Analipsi, Crete. We didn’t really know what to expect with the weather that time of year but we were very lucky, it was around 25 degrees most days which was ideal for walks through the day and snoozing by the pool.
Analipsi has a huge stretch of beach, so most days we would walk for quite some time with an icecream in hand. The sea was the most beautiful shade of turquoise, and looked amazing from some cliff tops we found on one of our walks.
We stayed at Insula Alba Resort and Spa, and everything about this hotel was perfect. Bright white minimalist interiors, a gorgeous pool (although in October the water was freezing so I only ever dipped my feet in!) and the cutest little chapel along the road.
There was a small village close to the hotel so we had a wander around the quaint streets with their white-wash buildings. We came across this little house where some of the locals had gathered, it looked like something straight out of a film.
We also visited the aquarium while we were there which we both really enjoyed. I was surprised to see a few sharks!
If you’re considering Crete for your next holiday I would completely recommend the resort of Analipsi and especially Insula Alba Resort & Spa.
