Ross Sands, Northumberland

On August 23, 2016 by Lau

A few weeks ago we adventured up to Northumberland for a day out with Willow at Ross Sands. Not far from Bamburgh Castle, this beach has the most amazing stretch of perfect sand and on a sunny day you almost feel like you’re on holiday.

This is one of Willow’s favourite walks as you can tell by the look on her face! It’s quite a deserted beach so she can run around without the fear of other dogs. As soon as we step out from the dunes she runs straight onto the beach without a care in the world and if she’s feeling brave she sometimes take a little paddle in the sea!

If you plan your timing right, you might also see the seals. We were lucky enough to see hundreds of them lying on the beach on one of our visits so it’s well worth the trek to get to the beach!

There’s not a lot nearby so we usually take a picnic or a BBQ with us and stay there the full day, it has to be one of my favourite places in the North East!
