Tanfield Railway

On January 21, 2012 by Lau

Tanfield Railway is the home to Europe’s oldest railway, railway bridge and working engine shed, dating back to 1725. We’re lucky enough to live about a five minute drive away from Tanfield so we spent some time there a couple of weeks ago practising with the camera.

At Christmas you can go on the North Pole Express to Santa’s grotto and throughout the year you can have afternoon tea on the trains. Oh and make sure you watch out for Boris the inspector sitting on his chair on the platform!
