Wonderful Wednesday #4

On September 7, 2016 by Lau

This last week has mostly made me a little bit excited for Autumn. Although I’m waaaay past my school days, September will always be the time for ‘back to school’ and that’s what marks the end of Summer for me. Although I’m looking forward to cosy jumper weather, I’m still hanging on to the last little bit of summer and will be fitting in as many sunny walks as I can before the trees turn orange and out comes the bobble hat from hibernation.

A few happy things from this week:

1. Listening to Summer rain. Lying on the sofa with the window open listening to the pitter patter of rain drops whilst still being warm. Is there anything more relaxing?

2. Holidays. We finally booked our holiday to Crete. I can’t wait for long days around the pool reading a good book and relaxing for two weeks – it’s been a long time coming!

3. The Chillhop Cafe YouTube channel. I love listening to chill out music and The Chillhop Cafe is just PERFECT for this – it’s a live radio playing 24/7 chill out music. If you’re looking for something relaxing to listen to you should definitely check it out (here).

4. Willow. Her bowls are near our radiator in the kitchen and sometimes when she’s eating, her tail taps the radiator and she gives herself a fright every time. Those pesky radiators appearing out of nowhere! (That’s her up there ^ burying her little head in my hands on our last beach walk.)

5. The Jungle Book. I’m always a bit unsure of Disney remakes, but The Jungle Book got it right. I love how you can see some of the features of voice-over’s in their characters. Would definitely recommend for a rainy weekend!

6. Sunday (on a Monday) dinner. On Monday night I made a Sunday lunch with rosemary and thyme roast chicken – it was pretty tasty if I do say so myself. Sunday lunch is way better on a Monday don’t you think?

Let me know your best parts of the week!

  • I cannot get enough Willow action, that photo is just too cute!! Holiday planning is so much fun too, we’ve been starting to think about ours this week too. Not sure where yet but we’re getting closer to a date.
Have a brilliant rest of the week.

Thanks Michelle, I’m hoping people don’t get too sick of the Willow spam but I just can’t help myself! Oh hope you get your holiday booked soon, although I would happily camp in the garden if I had that shed of yours! It’s one for Pinterest!
      Enjoy your week 🙂 xx

  • I love listening to the rain, it is so relaxing. Yay for booking your holiday, we are off to Dubrovnik in two weeks which I so excited about! Enjoy the rest of your week! x

Oh I would love to visit Dubrovnik! Looking forward to seeing some posts about it on your blog when you get back! Hope you enjoy the rest of your week too Sarah 🙂 xx

I’m glad you enjoyed the Jungle Book, I was avoiding it for the same reason but I will give it a chance now I’ve read that. Summer rain is lovely, I’ve been enjoying making a cuppa and pulling out a book whilst sat by the window. Bliss!

Yes definitely watch the Jungle Book, it’s a nice easy watch for days when you don’t really want to think! A book and a cuppa are the perfect combination! Enjoy the rest of your week 🙂 xx

  • I’m still hanging on to summer too! I don’t like to wish the time away! Autumn can wait a little, that’s fine by me.

Oh Willow is the cutest little bean! Bless her and those pesky radiators!

I think I’ll have to check out The Jungle Book if it comes to Netflix, I always loved the original.

I do love Autumn but it turns too cold too quickly for my liking so I’m holding on to Summer that little bit longer! Thank you, Willow is one strange little pup at times! I can’t help but to feature her in Wonderful Wednesday every week! Definitely watch the Jungle Book, I really didn’t know what to expect but I enjoyed it! Hope you’re having a lovely week 🙂 xx
